Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead a full project from preconstruction through LNTP, coordinating engineering, scheduling, budgeting and procurement in a fully remote role.

The candidate will collaborate across departments to define LNTP scopes, track design requirements, and manage risk, reporting cost forecasts and EACs while maintaining strong owner relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent)
• Leadership ability in remote environments and team organization
• Strong written and verbal communications; MS Office and industry tools

Responsibilities

• Perform all Preconstruction Project Manager responsibilities.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and solicit/evaluate bids.
• Write project procedures.
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff.
• Ensure procurement activities align with LNTP scope, budget, schedules.
• Collaborate with departments to create contract scopes of work.
• Work with Engineering/Procurement on long lead items during LNTP.
• Define and create LNTPs.
• Research design and permit requirements for each project.
• Liaise with Engineering Manager on schedule/budget impact changes.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
• Support estimating reconciliation for design iterations.
• Maintain timely reporting: cost forecasting and EAC.
• Manage project risk with mitigation plans.
• Build partnerships with Owner, Engineers, Vendors and Subcontractors.
