Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager for a fully remote role in the United States. You will lead cross-functional planning with engineering, scheduling, budgeting and closeout, ensuring long lead procurement aligns with LNTP scope and budgets.

You will supervise project engineers, maintain cost reporting, prepare bid packages, and develop contract scopes. A strong remote leadership track record and travel about 25% are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent)
• Leadership ability in a fully remote environment
• Strong written and verbal communications and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam Revu
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting
• Ability to travel ~25%

Responsibilities

• Able to perform all Preconstruction Project Manager responsibilities
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements
• Prepare billings and expedite payments
• Set up and maintain all CMiC system aspects
• Prepare bid packages and evaluate bids
• Write project procedures
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff
• Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, and schedule
• Collaborate with BD, engineering, accounting, construction and legal to create contract scopes
• Understand design constraints and lead times for long lead items
• Define and create LNTPs
• Research project-specific design requirements
• Liaison with Engineering Manager on changes affecting schedule/budget
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings
• Support estimating reconciliation for design iterations
• Maintain timely reporting on cost forecasting and EAC
• Manage project risk with mitigation plans
• Develop relationships with Owner, Engineers, Vendors and Subcontractors
