Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Project Engineer – Energy Storage to join the remote team.

You will support preconstruction activities, coordinate design deliverables, track RFIs, and help finalize BOMs to achieve project profitability and schedule goals. You will work with project engineering and estimating teams, assist with CPM scheduling, and ensure proper document management and transition from preconstruction to construction for energy storage projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years energy storage construction or design experience.
• Basic understanding of construction cost accounting.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Effective organizational and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Closely work with Precon PM, internal and external engineering team.
• Maintain project documentation and systems including drawings, RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, cost tracking, quality documentation, and CMiC records.
• Support subcontractor coordination, safety planning, and general project engineering functions with engineering and Operations.
• Support transition from preconstruction to construction by coordinating project documentation, scope definition, LNTP development, and operational readiness.
• Provide general project engineering support including meeting coordination, document management, cost reporting, subcontractor interface.
• Collaborate with engineering, estimating, procurement, and operations teams to validate design assumptions, equipment lead times, installation strategies, and project logistics while identifying risks.
• Assist in development, review, and maintenance of CPM schedules and construction work plans.
• Track design changes, scope updates, and revisions impacting cost/schedule; coordinate with teams to maintain alignment.
• Support development and review of Energy Storage EPC project execution plans and site logistics.
• Participate in technical review of EPC contract documents, project specifications, bid packages, and subcontractor proposals.
