Job summary

ICF is seeking an Energy Engineer to support reviews of energy savings calculations for HVAC systems, building automation, lighting, motors, and process equipment. The role includes evaluating baselines for existing buildings and new construction using established program procedures and technical guidance.

You will perform energy assessments, develop calculations and regression models, and communicate with building managers and contractors to advance energy efficiency upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Energy, Environmental, or Renewable/Sustainable Engineering (or substitute 1 year of related experience per year of education)
  • 2+ years of professional experience in energy efficiency engineering, building systems, utility program, ESCO, facility engineering, or related
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and pass MVR check

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering reviews of energy savings calculations for HVAC systems, building automation controls, lighting, motors, and process equipment.
  • Apply established program procedures and technical guidance when evaluating baselines for existing buildings and new construction.
  • Assist with preparation and review of measurement and verification plans and supporting documentation for energy savings verification.
