Job summary

ICF is seeking a Lead Energy Engineer to guide complex energy efficiency and decarbonization projects for utility programs in Texas. You will lead engineering reviews of savings calculations for HVAC, lighting, and building systems, and mentor staff on best practices while coordinating with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Energy, Environmental or Renewable/Sustainable Engineering (or related)
• 8+ years of energy efficiency engineering and/or ESCO experience
• 5+ years experience with lighting systems, motors, HVAC systems, building automation systems and industrial processes.
• Must have valid driver’s license and pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead engineering reviews of energy savings calculations for HVAC, lighting, building automation, and process equipment.
• Provide guidance on baseline selection for existing buildings and new construction and prepare M&V plans.
• Offer technical guidance to contractors and customers on energy modeling and calculations.
• Assess feasibility of new energy efficiency measures and develop pilot studies and deemed savings methodologies.
• Develop/review spreadsheet or regression models for new/existing technologies.
• Conduct on-site energy assessments and analyze energy performance of commercial buildings for cost-effective upgrades.
• Interact with building managers to motivate energy efficiency upgrades in existing buildings.
• Coordinate with team members and clients to influence market participation in programs.
