Job summary

ProTransport-1 Dispatchers play an important role on our team! Under general supervision of the Communications Manager, Communications Supervisor, and/or Communication Center Lead, the Dispatcher is responsible for evaluating and triaging all transport requests and deploying the most appropriate resource(s).

The Dispatcher will also assist with management of incoming call volume as necessary. The position is full-time and remote, with 12-hour shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of multi-line telephone experience or EMS experience.
• Able to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and email/spreadsheet software.
• Clear, professional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and triage all transport requests and deploy resources.
• Assist with management of incoming call volume as needed.
• Operate a multi-line phone system and CAD program.
• Record all communications accurately and promptly.
• Maintain familiarity with service areas, facilities, and geography.
