Job summary

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for an entry-level, Remote Employee Support Specialist to join their growing People team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build a foundation in HR operations, employee relations, and workplace support while working with a collaborative, fully distributed team.

Day to day, you will be the friendly first point of contact for employees who have questions about benefits, payroll, policies, or general

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Experience with email, chat, and video conferencing tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in customer service or admin roles is a plus.
• Remote work with reliable internet and quiet workspace.

Responsibilities

• Respond to employee inquiries about benefits, payroll, and policies via email, chat, and phone.
• Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS.
• Assist with onboarding paperwork and orientation scheduling.
• Route support tickets to internal teams.
• Coordinate open enrollment and benefits communication.
• Document recurring employee questions and suggest updates to FAQs and resources.
• Support offboarding processes including exit paperwork and final documentation.
• Escalate sensitive employee relations issues to senior HR staff as needed.
• Assist with compliance recordkeeping and audit prep.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives for the employee support function.
