Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder for a 100% remote contract role. The position focuses on outpatient and Emergency Department coding, requiring precise CPT/ICD coding and compliance with payer and federal guidelines.

Expect weekly pay and a remote work setup with weekend flexibility. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of outpatient coding experience, ED coding expertise, and familiarity with 3M and HDS coding systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outpatient medical coding experience.
• Emergency Room/ED coding experience required.
• Acute care coding experience.
• Proficiency with 3M Coding Application.
• Knowledge of HDS Coding Application.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4.
• Strong understanding of coding, payer, and federal billing guidelines.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to research and resolve coding issues.
• Certifications CCS, CCP, AHIMA RHIA, RHIT.

Certified Medical Coder – Outpatient & ED Work Arrangement: 100% Remote -
Job Type: Contract "
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Weekend Requirement: Must be comfortable working one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder with strong Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) coding experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of outpatient coding experience , including experience coding in an emergency room setting

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of outpatient medical coding experience .
• Emergency Room/ED coding experience required .
• Acute care coding experience.
• Proficiency with 3M Coding Application .
• Knowledge of HDS Coding Application .
• Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4.
• Strong understanding of coding, payer, and federal billing guidelines.
