Job summary

Jobrapido seeks an experienced Certified Medical Coder for a 100% remote, 8‑week contract in the United States. The role focuses on outpatient and Emergency Department coding with a requirement for 3–5 years of outpatient coding and ED coding experience, including proficiency in 3M and HDS coding tools.

A CCS/CCS AHIMA RHIA/RHIT certification path is preferred, and a HS diploma is required. The position offers 35 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM) with a weekend day rotation and a pay

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of outpatient medical coding experience.
• Emergency Room/ED coding experience required.
• Acute care coding experience.
• Proficiency with 3M Coding Application and HDS coding.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4.
• Understanding of coding, payer, and federal billing guidelines.
• Strong computer skills and ability to research coding issues.

Certified Medical Coder – Outpatient & ED

• Work Arrangement: 100% Remote -
• Job Type: Contract \"
• Duration : 8 weeks
• Job Category: Non-Clinical
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Hours: 35 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Must be comfortable working one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
• Pay Rate : $35/hr on W2

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder with strong Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) coding experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of outpatient coding experience , including experience coding in an emergency room setting
