Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a Certified Medical Coder with strong Outpatient and Emergency Department experience for a 100% remote contract role. The position requires a minimum 3–5 years in outpatient coding and ED coding, with proficiency in ICD-10, ICD-9-CM, and CPT-4, plus 3M and HDS coding systems.

The ideal candidate holds CCS/CCP and AHIMA RHIA/RHIT certifications, and possesses excellent research skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of outpatient medical coding experience.
• Emergency Room/ED coding experience required.
• Acute care coding experience.
• Proficiency with 3M Coding Application.
• Knowledge of HDS Coding Application.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4.
• Strong understanding of coding, payer, and federal billing guidelines.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to research and resolve coding issues.
• English proficiency required.

Job Type: Contract "
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Weekend Requirement: Must be comfortable working one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder with strong Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) coding experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of outpatient coding experience , including experience coding in an emergency room setting
