Job summary

Danaher Corporation seeks a Payroll Specialist (f/m/d) to own end-to-end payroll for Austria and other regions. This remote role supports EMEA, with a focus on compliance, data accuracy, and system harmonization.

You will handle complex calculations, off-cycle payments, and regulatory filings while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and standardized workflows across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or human resources.
• At least 5 years of experience processing complex payroll.
• Strong end-to-end payroll expertise with complex calculations.
• Strong Austrian payroll expertise and knowledge of Austrian regulations.
• German language proficiency at least B2; English proficiency.
• Ability to manage priorities and escalate appropriately.
• Bilingual English and German preferred.
• Experience with ADP, Workday, SAP, or similar payroll systems.
• Attention to detail and cross-functional communication.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.

Responsibilities

• Process Austrian and other DACH payrolls with precision and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with country, regional, and local payroll regulations.
• Manage off-cycle payments, adjustments, and final pay calculations.
• Prepare and submit required filings and reports.
• Validate and correct payroll data prior to processing.
• Escalate and resolve payroll discrepancies; support senior analysts.
• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Interpret payroll policies across jurisdictions.
• Maintain and audit payroll records including tax withholdings and benefits.
• Collaborate on payroll system upgrades and integrations for consistency.
• Support rollout of standardized payroll workflows across EMEA.
