ITW in the United States is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support embedded software for our hardware products. You will bring up new platforms, create robust drivers, and work closely with hardware teams.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++, RTOS experience, and a proven ability to troubleshoot low-level issues near the hardware. Occasional travel to our Fairmont, MN facility is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in embedded programming languages (C/C++), version control (Git/Github) and RTOS environments.
• Strong understanding of hardware/software integration and system level design.
• Ability to work independently across design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation phases.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with board bring-up and debugging on prototype hardware.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, code, test, and debug embedded software for products.
• Design software from specs with limited guidance for moderately complex apps and utilities.
• Bring up embedded software on new hardware platforms and verify peripherals.
• Develop and debug low-level drivers and BSPs for interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet).
• Validate software versions with hardware integration and system testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document designs and analyses.
• Provide technical input to schedules, estimates, and training needs.
• Diagnose startup, timing, and communication issues and support manufacturing and field teams.
