Job summary

ITW is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support embedded software for new and existing products. You will perform hardware bring-up, low-level integration, and MCU debugging while working with cross-functional teams across product lifecycles.

The role involves hands-on development, software architecture input, and reliability validation, with quarterly travel to the Fairmont, MN facility as needed to support projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 4+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and RTOS environments (FreeRTOS, MQX).
• Experience with hardware-software integration and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Develop, code, test, and debug embedded software for customers and internal product lines.
• Design and modify moderately complex software from specifications with limited guidance.
• Bring up embedded software on new hardware platforms and MCUs.
• Develop and debug low-level drivers and board support software for interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet.
