Job summary

Connections Education LLC is seeking certified Substitute Teachers for the Ohio Special Education program. This is a part-time, remote position to support students across Connections Academy schools, with a typical assignment lasting 8–12 weeks and occasional longer periods.

Eligible candidates will hold a valid full state teaching certification, be able to work Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:00 pm in the school’s time zone, maintain a distraction-free home office, and complete required trainings.

Qualifications

• Substitutes must be highly qualified and hold a valid and active full state teaching certification.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Ability to obtain certification in other states as requested.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong technology skills, including learning management systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps.

Responsibilities

• When on assignment, be online and available to students, parents, and school staff Monday through Friday 8:00 am–4:00 pm in the school’s time zone.
• Provide feedback on student work, monitor progress, and verify student learning.
• Complete grading, generate progress reports, and conduct parent conferences as instructed.
• Maintain student records and collaborate with counselors and special educators.
