Job summary

South Dakota Farm Bureau seeks a Western Regional Farm Bureau Manager to build trusted relationships, develop local leaders, and turn shared priorities into meaningful action across western South Dakota.

The role requires understanding of agriculture, strong communication, and the ability to work with county boards, volunteers, and diverse stakeholders. Travel and remote work are part of the position, with a focus on delivering tangible value to farmers and rural communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field preferred.
• Knowledge and enthusiasm about a progressive agricultural industry.
• Understanding of agricultural industry, regulations and policy.
• Excellent communication, leadership and personable skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships that lead to action with farmers, ranchers and stakeholders.
• Help local leaders succeed by supporting county boards and action plans.
• Grow an engaged membership by highlighting Farm Bureau value and opportunities to participate.
• Bring agricultural priorities forward by identifying local concerns and shaping policy at county/regional levels.
• Develop the next generation of leaders by engaging young producers in activities.
• Turn programs into local impact by organizing meetings, events and initiatives.
