Job summary

Michigan Farm Bureau seeks a South Associate Regional Manager to work with state and county leaders to grow and retain members across assigned counties in Michigan. You will support county Farm Bureaus on membership programs, mentor County Administrative Managers, and coordinate with partners to advance programs and policies.

The role focuses on leadership development, training, and outreach, with a home-based setup covering Branch, Calhoun, Hillsdale, Jackson, and Lenawee counties, requiring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agribusiness, agri-communications, business, or political science.
• Experience working or volunteering for a nonprofit organization.
• Knowledge of the agriculture industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Excellent listening and customer service skills with strong leadership.
• Valid driver license with no more than seven MVR points and no serious convictions.
• Willingness to live within or near the assigned Michigan counties.

Responsibilities

• Work with Field Operations Division director and leadership to grow and service membership.
• Assist county Farm Bureaus to plan and implement membership programs for growth and retention.
• Oversee County Administrative Managers including hiring, training, and coaching.
• Review county financial statements and conduct annual cash audits.
• Attend county board meetings and report on programs and activities.
• Provide training to county boards and volunteers; recruit leaders.
• Build relationships with members, agents, and external partners.
