Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Senior Professional Licensed Surveyor to lead boundary, topographic, and ALTA survey projects from proposal to final deliverable. You will supervise field crews, oversee QA/QC, and provide survey support for design and construction across the region.

The ideal candidate has an active P.L.S. license, 8+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of boundary law, AS/NZS standards, and geospatial workflows.

Qualifications

• Must hold Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S.) license or ability to obtain licensure by reciprocity.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Surveying / Geomatics / Civil Engineering Tech preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive survey experience with PM and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of boundary law, ALTA/NSPS standards, and land development surveys.
• Experience with Carlson, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble software, and GNSS equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, ROW, and construction stakeout projects.
• Serve as Surveyor of Record; certify and seal plats, maps and legal descriptions.
• Supervise field crews, UAV operations, and office technicians for quality and safety.
• Maintain survey control networks using GNSS, total stations, and levels.
• QA/QC field data, calculations, CADD deliverables, and final products.
• Coordinate activities with PMs, engineers, clients, and agencies.
• Review drawings and support design, construction layout, and infrastructure projects.
• Mentor junior staff; promote OSHA-compliant safe work practices.
