Merck's Oncology Sales organization seeks an Oncology Sales Representative to engage customers in the Washington DC territory, educate stakeholders about our oncology portfolio, and drive sales goals. This field-based role requires travel to visit customers and attend national meetings.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of sales, or a high school diploma with 8+ years in healthcare; oncology experience preferred. Travel 10-15%; residence near the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of sales experience.
• Alternatively high school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience, including healthcare/oncology context.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Attend or exceed sales goals for the geography.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to understand practice structure and needs.
• Communicate patient-centered rationale for Oncology products.
• Understand cancer pathways and guidelines and their impact on patients.
• Analyze trends in a complex buying environment across channels.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term district plans with the Oncology Customer Team Leader.
• Engage with customers to ensure a seamless experience across divisions.
