Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to support on-site operations. This is a dedicated on-site role with a flexible remote option for candidates living in the specified city/region.

You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light trailer repairs and assist senior technicians as needed. You’ll document work in the TRAIT system using an iOS device, maintain parts inventory, follow safety policies, and communicate findings to customers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years’ experience in trailers or related field.
• Familiar with DOT inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work with hand tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers.
• Document work and upload RO details using TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Carry out repairs on brakes, air lines, pumps, engines and related systems.
• Maintain daily service truck and inventory; arrange parts as needed.
• Ensure safety practices and DOT/compliance guidelines are followed.
• Assist senior technicians and learn advanced mechanical skills.
