Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II for on-site work, performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs. You will tackle trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, and related systems at customer sites under supervision of senior techs.

The role emphasizes safe operations, adherence to company policies, and strong problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years' experience in a related field (Trailers).
• Candidate must meet DOT/FMCSA regulations and have a valid driver's license.
• ASE T8 certification preferred; other ASE certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers with little supervision.
• Document work with photos and RO entries using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Diagnose electrical components and repair trailer brakes, air lines, engines, lifts, and related systems.
• Maintain safety, comply with OSHA, EPA and DOT rules, and manage parts on the service truck.
