Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II for an on-site, dedicated role to service trailers and equipment at customer locations. Responsibilities include certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light repairs, and documenting work via RO with photos using an iOS device and TRAIT app.

The role requires handling trailer systems such as brakes, air lines, pumps, and welding, with supervision for advanced tasks. A strong safety focus and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related field experience (Trailers) or equivalent
Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties
DOT/FMCSA regulatory knowledge and safety training preferred

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs with minimal supervision
Document work performed and upload RO photos using company iOS device and TRAIT app
Diagnose electrical components and repair trailer systems (brakes, air lines, pumps, engines)
Ensure safety procedures and compliance in all tasks
Manage parts inventory and service truck operations
