Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Light & Medium Duty Technician II - DOT to perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to medium repairs. The role focuses on electrical, braking, cooling systems, and engine diagnostics, with an emphasis on safety and adherence to DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (light & heavy duty preferred).
• DOT background check and DOT physical required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document repairs and upload RO data using company device and proprietary app.
• Communicate with Dispatch/Management to obtain approvals and discuss findings.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety regulations.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain service truck equipment.
