Job summary

Cox Fleet is currently hiring a Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician to support our growth. You will perform preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and light repairs at customer locations, traveling 100% of the time.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of automotive technician experience; home-based schedule is Mon-Fri with travel to client sites in the region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Automotive Technician on light/medium vehicle repair or equivalent.
• Two years of equivalent experience in a similar Technician role.
• Participate in and complete all required company training.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light/medium vehicles in the field.
• Carry out light and follow-up repairs, plus diagnostic work using scanners and gauges.
• Independently identify required parts, order them, and install during repairs.
• Document findings on Repair Orders and upload photos per company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with safety policies.
