Job summary

CU*SOUTH is seeking an IT Specialist to support and maintain our technology infrastructure and MSP client environments. You will provide first-level end-user assistance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and help with basic network and security tasks.

The ideal candidate learns quickly, is detail-oriented, communicates clearly, and collaborates with a growing IT team in a flexible work setting that may include hybrid or remote work.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and customer service mindset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Associate's degree in IT or equivalent hands-on experience in IT support, help desk, customer service, or technical environments.
• Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Azure Fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, and printers
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and standard business applications
• Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding employees and MSP clients
• Monitor and respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner
• Document issues, resolutions, and IT procedures
• Support basic networking tasks
• Assist with maintaining IT security practices
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary
