Job summary

Rea, a growing Top 100 business advisory and accounting firm with offices in Ohio and Florida, seeks an Indirect Tax Consulting Manager to support nationwide sales and use tax research, risk assessments, and controversy projects. You will assist with nexus studies, audit defense, voluntary disclosures, and client communications, while integrating AI into SALT workflows to improve project delivery.

Candidates should have a BA/BS, 4–5 years state and local tax experience, CPA or CMI in sales tax,

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited university preferred.
• 4–5 years' experience in state and local tax consulting, specifically sales and use tax.
• CPA certification or CMI in sales tax (or in line with CMI expectations).
• Travel to assigned client locations required; overnight travel rare.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nationwide nexus studies for sales tax, income tax, and other tax types.
• Assist with nationwide risk assessments quantifying exposure for tax types.
• Assist with voluntary disclosure projects.
