Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Wisconsin bar admission in good standing or eligible.
• At least one year of hands-on consumer bankruptcy experience, including Chapter 7 and/or Chapter 13.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent client service.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused law firm.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters.
• Analyze clients' financial circumstances and advise bankruptcy options.
• Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, plans, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, meetings of creditors, and other court proceedings as required.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding case status, deadlines, legal options, and next steps.
• Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to move cases forward efficiently.
• Manage an assigned caseload and ensure timely completion of legal work and compliance with court deadlines.
• Identify legal issues and develop practical strategies to resolve them.
• Stay current on bankruptcy law, local court rules, and relevant legal developments.
• Contribute to the firm's efforts to improve processes, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
