Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Wisconsin bar admission in good standing or eligible.
• At least one year of hands-on consumer bankruptcy experience, including Chapter 7 and/or Chapter 13.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent client service.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused law firm.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters.
• Analyze clients' financial circumstances and advise bankruptcy options.
• Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, plans, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, meetings of creditors, and other court proceedings as required.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding case status, deadlines, legal options, and next steps.
• Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to move cases forward efficiently.
• Manage an assigned caseload and ensure timely completion of legal work and compliance with court deadlines.
• Identify legal issues and develop practical strategies to resolve them.
• Stay current on bankruptcy law, local court rules, and relevant legal developments.
• Contribute to the firm's efforts to improve processes, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

We are seeking an experienced, client-focused Associate Bankruptcy Attorney with at least one year of consumer bankruptcy experience to join our team. Position Overview

The Associate Bankruptcy Attorney will represent clients in consumer bankruptcy matters, primarily Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. The ideal candidate has practical experience handling consumer bankruptcy cases, strong legal analytical and writing skills, and the ability to manage a caseload while delivering an exceptional client experience.

Candidates may reside anywhere in the United States, provided they meet the applicable licensing and court-admission requirements for the position.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Wisconsin, in good standing, or eligibility to obtain the required Wisconsin admission.
• At least one year of hands‑on consumer bankruptcy experience, including Chapter 7 and/or Chapter 13 cases.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail, sound professional judgment, and a commitment to excellent client service.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, client‑focused law firm.
