Job summary

The Dinerstein Companies are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead operations in our multifamily communities. You will oversee daily office functions, coordinate with residents, and ensure accurate bookkeeping and leasing processes across the property.

This role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and community service in a dynamic environment. You will manage applications, payments, and invoicing while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or Bookkeeping role in multifamily housing.
• Experience with affordable/income-restricted and high-end communities is a plus.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet background screening and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Process renter applications for approval.
• Address residents and their needs.
• Maintain bookkeeping and general administrative responsibility in the office.
• Handle all AR.
• Process invoices and review lease documents for accuracy.
• Reconcile property accounts monthly.
• Process move-ins and move-outs.
• Leasing activity: calls, emails, tours, and leasing apartments.
• Follow up on delinquent accounts.
