Job summary

Selectek, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer for a remote, full-time role, focusing on high voltage substations. You will support both front-end sales and back-end project management, developing substation design, protection and controls, and testing support.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, proficiency with protection schemes, relays, SKM/ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, and strong communication skills to coordinate with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical design for substations.
• Experience with protection and control design and relays.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and teams.
• Familiarity with design quality control and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Write and review equipment specifications and data sheets for proposals and projects.
• Develop protection and control schemes and relay coordination studies.
• Support pre-bid and customer meetings with technical input.
• Oversee subcontractor electrical design efforts and QA.
• Create and maintain design quality control metrics.
• Design substations, grounding systems, and LV AC/DC systems.
• Perform short circuit studies and relay settings documentation.
• Provide field support and EPC oversight during testing.
