Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division is seeking an Electrical Construction Quality Engineer (QA/QC) for a remote role within the United States with up to 75% travel. You will ensure compliance with design drawings, project specs, and codes, supporting project teams through QA/QC processes, inspections, submittals, and commissioning readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or 10 years QA/QC on electrical construction projects.
• 7+ years QA/QC on commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical construction projects.
• Experience overseeing QC for installation, testing, and energization of power distribution equipment.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Driver’s license with a satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality control activities for EPC construction projects, ensuring compliance with requirements, specs, codes, and customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain project quality documentation such as Quality Management Plans, reports, punch lists, and closeouts.
• Conduct field inspections, audits, and quality reviews to identify defects and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with project teams and customers to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning plans to verify quality requirements.
• Manage third‑party testing and inspection providers and issue resolution.
• Support factory witness testing, commissioning, and system turnover prior to energization.
• Investigate issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Deliver quality training and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
