Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division is seeking an Electrical Construction Quality Engineer (QA/QC). The position is remote within the United States with up to 75% travel.

The engineer will ensure all electrical construction activities comply with design drawings, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards, supporting engineering and construction teams through quality control processes, inspections, submittals review, and verification of installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or ten (10) years of experience in quality control/assurance on electrical construction projects.
• Seven (7)+ years of quality control/assurance experience on commercial/industrial electrical construction projects.
• Experience overseeing quality control for electrical installation, testing, commissioning and energization of power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality control activities for EPC construction projects, ensuring compliance with requirements and customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain Quality Management Plans, inspection reports, test records, punch lists, and closeout packages.
• Conduct field inspections, audits, and quality reviews to identify defects and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and customers to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning plans to verify quality requirements.
