Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division is seeking an Electrical Construction Quality Engineer (QA/QC) to ensure electrical construction activities meet design drawings, project specs, and codes. This remote role within the United States involves up to 75% travel to Eaton and customer sites.

The engineer will develop quality plans, conduct inspections, review submittals, and drive corrective actions with project teams, managers, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR 10+ years of quality control/assurance experience in commercial electrical construction.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in QC/QA for electrical construction projects.
• Experience overseeing QC activities for installation, testing, commissioning, energization of power distribution systems.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC activities for EPC construction projects ensuring compliance with codes and customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation (QMPs, inspection reports, test records).
• Conduct field inspections, audits, and quality reviews to identify defects and improvements.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning plans for constructability and quality.
• Manage third‑party testing/inspection providers and coordinate root-cause analysis.
• Support factory witness testing, commissioning, and system turnover prior to energization.
• Provide quality training and promote a culture of quality across project teams.
• Travel to Eaton and customer sites up to 50‑75% as needed.
