Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division seeks an Electrical Construction Quality Engineer (QA/QC) to ensure all electrical construction activities meet design drawings, project specifications, and codes. The role is remote within the United States with up to 75% travel, supporting quality control, inspections, submittals review, and installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR high school diploma/GED with 10 years QA/QC experience.
• 7+ years QA/QC experience in commercial electrical construction projects.
• Experience overseeing QA/QC for electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and energization of power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality control activities for EPC construction projects, ensuring compliance with requirements and customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain Quality Management Plans, inspection reports, test records, punch lists, and closeout packages.
• Conduct field inspections, audits, and quality reviews to identify defects and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction managers, engineers, subcontractors, and customers to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning plans to verify constructability and quality requirements.
• Manage third‑party testing and inspection providers, including scope development and issue resolution.
• Support testing, commissioning activities, and system turnover to ensure energization readiness.
• Investigate equipment, installation, and warranty issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Deliver quality training and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
