Placements24's client, a leading international engineering firm, is hiring an Electrical Power Systems Design Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design and analyze power systems for large industrial and utility projects worldwide, collaborating with a distributed team across time zones.

The position requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) and 7+ years of experience, proficiency in PSS/E, ETAP, or DigSILENT PowerFactory, and strong AC/DC fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
• 7+ years of experience in design and analysis of electrical power systems.
• Proficiency in PSS/E, ETAP, DigSILENT PowerFactory.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and specify electrical power systems for generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using industry-standard software.
• Perform power flow, short-circuit, and stability studies using simulation tools like PSS/E, ETAP, or equivalent.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to define system requirements and ensure design integration.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and documentation for project submittals and client presentations.
• Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.
• Conduct technical reviews of designs prepared by other engineers or external consultants.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in power system technologies and industry best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the knowledge base of the team.
