Job summary

ArchKey Solutions is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction and project management with estimates, bid reviews, and cost analyses. The role may be remote or local to a regional office, with occasional travel as needed.

The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of electrical estimating experience, strong math and analytical abilities, and the ability to read contracts and drawings. A degree in construction management or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year electrical construction experience estimating, coding, and plan/spec estimating.
• Strong communication, documentation, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical contracts, plans, drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Plans and monitors estimating activities for each project for quality and accuracy.
• Reviews bidding documents with PM and chief estimator to determine costs.
• Uses estimating software to estimate projects.
• Surveys job sites for scope and cost-effective planning.
• Prepares estimate documents accurately and professionally.
• Assists in procurement interviews, RFPs, bids, and reports.
• Ensures estimates and RFPs meet customer and company standards.
• Collaborates with purchasing to reduce material buyout risk.
• Partner with design teams on design-build projects.
• Provides coaching and training to co-workers as needed.
