Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking an Electrical Estimator who can work fully remote or be assigned to a local office. The role supports preconstruction and project management with estimates, bid reviews, and cost analyses.

You will review documents, perform take-offs, coordinate with design teams, and help ensure accurate, professional estimate documents for challenging electrical projects. The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent, 1 year of electrical estimating experience,

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical construction experience in estimating, coding requirements, and design/build and plan/spec estimating.
• Excellent communication skills including documentation and report preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical code.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plans and monitors the estimating activities of each project for quality and accuracy of work.
• Reviews all bidding documents and works with the project manager and chief estimator to determine general expenses, labor rates, and other costs.
• Utilizes estimating software to properly estimate projects.
• Surveys job sites as needed for scope of work and cost-effective planning.
• Composes estimate documents in an accurate, complete, and professional manner.
• Assists in interview procurement, proposal writing for RFPs, bids, and related reports.
• Ensure all estimates and RFPs meet customer and company satisfaction standards.
• Collaborates with purchasing to reduce material buyout risk.
• Partners with design teams on design build and design assist projects.
• Provides coaching, mentoring, and training to co-workers as needed.
