Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer with data center expertise for remote U.S. delivery. The role focuses on design and delivery of colocations and hyperscale facilities, with flexibility for remote work and occasional travel to client sites.

You will design electrical systems, perform calculations, maintain drawings, and ensure NEC/IBC/IECC compliance, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across regions. A PE license and 6+ years of MEP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering with 6+ years of MEP design experience.
• Experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects.
• Experience using Revit and ACC; power system analysis tools (SKM/ETAP).
• Professional Engineer License (PE).

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for colocation and hyperscale data centers including power distribution and backup systems.
• Perform electrical calculations and produce drawings per client specs.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, BOMs, and installation drawings.
• Ensure NEC, IBC, IECC compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to develop specs, design criteria, and budgets.
• Stay current with data center technologies.
