Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 2+ years of building MEP electrical design experience to contribute to mission-critical and data center projects. The role emphasizes a strong engineering foundation and interest in high-performance facilities.

The position offers a flexible remote work schedule and can be based from various US locations; occasional travel for meetings and milestones is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with 2 years of MEP electrical design experience.
• Experience with Revit and ACC is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical power systems and calculations; SKM or ETAP is a plus.
• Familiarity with NEC and building codes (IBC/IECC).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team and under senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of electrical systems for mission-critical and data center facilities, including power distribution, lighting, and life safety.
• Perform electrical calculations, sizing, load analyses, and develop plans under supervision.
• Create one-line diagrams, schedules, details, and specifications per codes.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architects, mechanical, structural, and other disciplines.
• Support senior engineers in resolving technical and construction issues.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients and contractors.
