Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 2+ years of building MEP electrical design experience, preferably with data center exposure. The role offers a flexible remote work schedule and can be based from various US locations where AECOM has offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with 2 years of building MEP electrical design experience.
• Experience with Revit and ACC preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical power systems and engineering calculations; SKM/ETAP is a plus.
• Working knowledge of the NEC and familiarity with IBC/IECC.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of electrical systems for mission critical and data center facilities, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, grounding, and life safety.
• Perform electrical calculations and assist with load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Develop electrical plans, one-line diagrams, schedules, details, and specifications under senior guidance.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, structural, civil, and other disciplines.
• Support senior engineers in resolving technical and construction-related issues.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Develop knowledge of data center electrical systems including reliability, redundancy, and maintainability.
• Continue developing technical and professional skills through project experience, mentoring, and training.
