Job summary

AECOM seeks an Electrical Engineer Lead specializing in Hyper-scale Data Centers to ensure reliability, efficiency, and safety of data center infrastructure. The role is remote with occasional travel, leading the electrical design team on large projects.

You will develop schematics, BOMs, installation drawings, and oversee budgets and schedules. Strong leadership, client-facing skills, and a PE license are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years in data center infrastructure.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
• Experience with high-density data centers and NEC/NFPA70 knowledge.
• Ability to lead and mentor mid-level engineers and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, including power distribution and backup systems.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, BOMs, and installation drawings.
• Ensure NEC/IEC compliance and safety standards across projects.
• Lead project budgets, schedules, and act as Engineer of Record.
