Jobot is seeking a remote electrical design lead for utility-scale solar and BESS projects. You will own design from preliminary through IFC, ensuring schedules and quality while coordinating with engineers, vendors, and clients.

Required hands-on solar design and EPC experience, NEC knowledge, and proficiency in AutoCAD, PVcase, Bluebeam, and MS Office. This role offers strong benefits and remote work with occasional travel.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on solar electrical design experience required.
• EPC experience and understanding of how design affects cost, schedule, and crews.
• Strong command of DC/AC collection, MV systems, and inverter configuration.
• Working knowledge of NEC and renewable energy standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PVcase, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving history; pass drug screen and background check.
• US work authorization; sponsorship is not available.

Responsabilidades

• Lead electrical design on utility-scale solar and BESS projects from preliminary design through IFC and construction, keeping deliverables on schedule.
• Review conductor schedules, string layouts, voltage drop calculations, equipment specs and layouts, grounding, monitoring, and communications.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on DC and AC collection, medium-voltage systems, equipment selection, grounding, monitoring, communications, and code compliance.
• Run structured design reviews at 30%, 90%, IFC, and construction-phase revisions.
• Find and resolve risks, gaps, and inconsistencies in design packages before they reach the field.
• Evaluate design decisions for constructability, efficiency, equipment availability, code compliance, and cost.
• Give technical guidance to internal teams, engineering partners, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Work with engineering, preconstruction, estimating, procurement, and operations on sequencing, procurement, and cost.
• Coordinate with customers, developers, AHJs, regulators, vendors, and outside engineering firms.
• Support permitting by confirming designs meet NEC, customer, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Support construction through field issue review, RFI responses, and change impact analysis.
• Help improve design processes, review standards, templates, and lessons learned.
• Maintain electrical files, drawings, and records, and manage multiple complex projects with accuracy.
