Job summary

SNI Companies partners with an established electrical construction organization to identify an experienced Electrical BIM/VDC Detailer for a fully remote opportunity.

This role focuses on developing detailed, constructible 3D electrical models and shop drawings using Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and SysQue, working as a key VDC resource across projects with project management, field leadership, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience detailing large-scale electrical construction scopes.
• Experience working for an electrical contractor.
• Proficiency with NEC standards.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D electrical models using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Produce shop drawings, installation drawings, and fabrication layouts.
• Act as the primary VDC contact for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Perform clash detection and resolution with Navisworks Manage.
• Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical disciplines.
• Revise models and drawings based on RFIs and design revisions.
• Develop prefabrication plans and spool drawings using SysQue.
• Support field layout and installation activities with Trimble Field Points and GPS.
• Apply NEC knowledge under project leadership.
• Participate in BIM/VDC coordination to improve processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automation within workflows.
• Provide technical support to field operations as needed.
