Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a BIM Detailer to lead and support the Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) coordination across electrical projects.

You will work with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop, coordinate, and maintain 3D models, drawings, and construction documentation. This role rewards technical expertise in Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Inventor, plus strong collaboration skills in a fast-paced, team‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in BIM/VDC or drafting, preferably in electrical/construction.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks (coordination/clash), Bluebeam, Inventor.
• Experience with 3D models, construction drawings, and coordination workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support BIM coordination and clash detection processes using industry software.
• Develop and maintain 3D models and construction drawings for electrical projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and field teams to resolve design conflicts.
• Assist with model integration, updates, and version control.
• Utilize BIM tools for layout and routing of electrical systems, constructability reviews, and field planning.
• Generate and review 2D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Participate in coordination meetings and communicate model changes.
• Support implementation of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
