Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician to support construction and engineering teams through advanced 3D modeling. This role involves creating and maintaining accurate BIM models of electrical designs, performing clash detection, and generating construction documentation. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in BIM tools, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of electrical and construction standards. The position can be fully remote or based out of our offices in Lexington, KY, or Greenville, SC.
Qualifications
Proficiency in BIM tools.
Strong communication skills.
Solid understanding of electrical and/or construction practices and standards.
Responsibilities
Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
Integrating design information from various disciplines into the 3D model.
Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts between building components.
Generating drawings, schedules, and visualizations for construction planning.
Ensuring the BIM model remains current with design changes.
Collaborating with project managers and engineers.
Providing visualizations and reports for decision-making.
Skills
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, or Navisworks
Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models
Sound understanding of construction methods and terminology
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to analyze and interpret design information
Attention to detail
Ability to create/modify basic Revit families
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines
