Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a senior software engineer to develop and optimize Elasticsearch‑driven search features across Android, iOS, and Windows. You will participate in the full software lifecycle, apply secure engineering practices, and collaborate with analysts, scientists, and engineers to deliver robust solutions.

The role is fully remote within the United States, with strong emphasis on automation, CI pipelines, and data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 3+ years of cross‑platform mobile and desktop app development.
• Expert-level Elasticsearch installation, config, maintenance, and optimization.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, JSON, and Ruby.
• Hands-on Git and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, and secure software engineering.
• Strong analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with customers to gather requirements and ensure security compliance.
• Masters and CISSP or similar security certs preferred; active clearance a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and optimize Elasticsearch search capabilities.
• Identify automation opportunities and enhance data management workflows.
• Participate in full SDLC including architecture, dev, tests, deployment, and maintenance.
• Design and prototype apps using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Develop and maintain robust solutions across Android, iOS, and Windows.
• Apply TAK development standards with Agile practices and CI pipelines.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineers to improve UI functionality.
• Work with customers to understand requirements and prioritize security.
• Support accreditation activities with BOE documentation and controls.
• Query and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases and improve performance.
• Use version control and containerization to enable collaboration and consistent delivery.
