Job summary

TAK is seeking a highly skilled Elastic Search Software Engineer to support mission-critical defense technology initiatives. This fully remote role in the United States focuses on Elasticsearch optimization, cross-platform development (Android/iOS/Windows), and secure software practices.

You will design, prototype, and implement applications using modern web technologies, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to accreditation efforts by documenting security controls and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of Android/Windows/iOS application development experience.
• Expert-level Elasticsearch installation, configuration, and optimization.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, Java, Python, JSON, and Ruby.
• Hands-on Git and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong SQL/NoSQL knowledge and data modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and optimize Elasticsearch search capabilities for TAK products.
• Automate workflows and enhance data management and search functionality.
• Participate in full SDLC: design, implement, test, deploy, maintain.
• Prototype and implement apps using modern web tech: JS/HTML/CSS.
• Develop apps across Android, iOS, Windows platforms.
• Follow TAK standards, Agile, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with data analysts/scientists/engineers to improve UI.
• Engage with customers to gather requirements and improve security.
• Prepare BOE and maintain compliance documentation for accreditation.
• Query/optimize SQL/NoSQL databases and support performance.
• Use version control and containerization for consistent delivery.
