Job summary

Texas A&M University TEEX is seeking an EHS Wage Instructor for COAST/TRAIN to deliver safety courses at COAST in Corpus Christi and RAM in Brownsville. This temporary, part-time telecommuter role reports to the ITSI Workforce Development Program Coordinator and requires strong adult education skills.

Responsibilities include presentations with teaching aids, applying adult learning theory, and coordinating course activities to support the Infrastructure Safety Training Institute and STARS

Qualifications

Five years of related environmental, health and safety experience in construction or general industries.
Two years in adult education and/or training.
OSHA Outreach Trainer (OSHA500 and/or OSHA501) certification.
Equivalency: 3 years of related experience with an Associate's Degree or 1 year with a Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

Lead course topic presentations with demonstrations and teaching aids.
Coordinate course activities for TEEX Workforce Development Programs.
Apply adult learning theories to maximize learner success.
Deliver assigned courses at COAST in Corpus Christi and RAM in Brownsville.
