• Equivalency: 3 years experience + Associate's; or 1 year + Bachelor's.

**EHS Wage Instructor - COAST/TRAIN****$45.00 per hour****Temporary/Casual Staff (Part-Time)****Telecommuter - Brownsville or Corpus Christi, Texas****The Role at a Glance** The Wage Agency Instructor, under direction, assists in training various specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within the TEEX Workforce Development Programs at the Coastal Bend Occupational Advanced Skills Training (COAST) in Corpus Christi, Texas and the RGV Advanced Manufacturing Hub (RAM) in Brownsville, Texas. Acts as a lead instructor guided by Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service’s (TEEX) Safety, Teamwork, Adaptability, Respect and Stewardship (STARS) values, is instrumental in making a difference for the Infrastructure Safety Training Institute by coordinating the Environmental, Health and Safety Program course activities associated with delivering assigned courses. Conducts course topic presentations to include demonstrations with course teaching aids. Utilizes knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to present and maximize learner success to a broad audience in a manner to ensure effectiveness of course instruction.This position reports to the ITSI Workforce Development Program Coordinator. **Qualifications of the Role** * High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.* Five years of related experience in environmental, health and safety in the Construction and/or General Industries.* Two years in adult education and/or training and a background in training concepts and programs.* Due to the location of course facilitation, applicants must reside in any of the following counties to be considered: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, and Willacy.* Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.* Must have a valid passport or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.* OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer (OSHA500 and/or OSHA501).*Equivalency: Will consider three years of related experience (Listed Above) with an Associate's Degree in applicable field from an accredited college or university OR one year of related experience (Listed Above) with a Bachelor's Degree in applicable field from an accredited college or university.
