Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) is seeking an EHS Wage Instructor to support COAST/TRAIN and RAM programs. The role involves leading course activities, presenting topics with demonstrations, and utilizing adult learning principles to maximize learner success for diverse audiences.

The position requires CDL/passport readiness, OSHA outreach trainer credentials, and experience in adult education within environmental, health, and safety contexts.

Qualifications

• Must reside in the following Texas counties: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Willacy.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or obtain within 30 days.
• Must have a valid passport or obtain within 180 days.
• OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer (OSHA500 and/or OSHA501).
• Equivalency: 3 years of related experience with an Associate's Degree OR 1 year with a Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructor for TEEX COAST/TRAIN and related programs, coordinating course activities.
• Conduct presentations with demonstrations and teaching aids.
• Apply adult learning theories to maximize learner success for a broad audience.
• Report to the ITSI Workforce Development Program Coordinator.
