Job summary

GAF in the United States is seeking a Director of EHS Operations to lead world-class safety programs across manufacturing facilities and operations. This role will drive a proactive, behavior-based safety culture and oversee the governance of EHS initiatives, reporting to the Vice President of Environmental, Health and Safety.

You will steer enterprise risk assessment, incident investigations, and the development of integrated EHS systems using data analytics to monitor performance and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years EHS experience, 5 years in management.
• Excellent organizational, written and oral communication.
• Demonstrated openness to change and ability to lead multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive EHS strategy aligned with objectives.
• Champion proactive safety culture and behavior-based safety across sites.
• Lead enterprise EHS risk assessment and mitigation, embedding PSM practices.
• Develop and govern integrated EHS management systems with data analytics.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and governance over safety/environmental standards.
• Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Mentor EHS professionals and provide ongoing training to leadership.
• Travel ~50% domestically.
